The Chelsea and District Basketball Association (CADBA) has a vision to expand its Bonbeach Stadium facility with 2 standard size courts, plus a show court.
According to stadium manager, Peter Caspersz the projected growth of 30% over the next 2 years and exorbitant lease costs over 6 venues are posing barriers.
“It’s unsustainable for us as an association. We need the 3 new courts at Bonbeach to support us to continue to grow and supply a venue for our kids to play at,” he said.
CADBA is Kingston’s largest basketball association with over 5,000 members. A new facility at Bonbeach will reduce financial pressure via the consolidation of leased venues, while also meeting demand for one of Australia’s fastest growing sports.
