If elected to Government in November, the Liberals will contribute $350,000 towards a much needed upgrade of the Carrum Surf Life Saving Club.
This funding will assist the club to extend its clubrooms and provide additional storage for the club’s equipment.
The grant will also go towards improving local security and safety including improved lighting and extending the City of Kingston CCTV system to provide coverage for the club and the surrounding Carrum foreshore.
These improvements will act as a deterrent for would be criminals and assist police in catching criminals when they do offend.
The Carrum Surf Lifesaving Club is home to 300 members including a nippers program that has 100s of enrolments from children in the local community.
The Liberal Nationals look forward in seeing the club grow and that these updated facilities will continue to develop the already strong culture of the club and strengthen their proud volunteer community service in the region.
