The Liberal Nationals are committed to investing in sporting facilities and classrooms in Victoria to ease the local population squeeze.
That’s why an elected Liberal Nationals government will commit $7.8 million for a new, modern indoor sports facility and the refurbishment of teaching and administrative areas at Skye Primary School.
Labor has been in government in Victoria for 15 of the last 19 years, and its long-term neglect has meant this school has not kept up with local population growth.
Skye Primary School continues to provide a first class education for local students, but need updated buildings so that teachers can continue to educate students in a fresh and modern learning enviroment.
The Liberal Nationals government are committed to ensuring students have world class classrooms to learn and grow.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Education, Tim Smith:
“By committing to building the school gym, the Liberals will ensure students at Skye Primary are getting the physical education they need, which is so important to a well rounded education.
The fact this project has been ignored by Labor for the last four years shows the so called ‘education state’ is a hollow slogan, not worth the number plates it’s written on. ”
Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Carrum, Donna Bauer:
“As a past student of Skye Primary School, I know how hard the school community has worked to advocate for this funding.
Current and future students will all benefit from this commitment from the Liberal team.”
